Urban Lumberjack wants to "Save Your Ash"

"I want to see Indianapolis have a better stake in the urban lumber movement," he said.

“This is ecofriendly, man. We're going green," Presnell said. "We're trying to do a good thing and make good things."

The "we" he is referring to is the urban milling business Presnell hopes to begin with friends out of his shop space inside the Circle City Industrial Complex, 1125 E. Brookside Ave. He plans to launch Indy Urban Hardwood Co. in May.

"Really, it's more than recycling to me," he said. "If I can create valuable materials out of it at a lower cost, I can bring it to the client at a lower cost."
